Supporting Tribal Partnerships for Implementing the Road Map for Indian Country
The National Indian Health Board (NIHB) is requesting proposals for a funding opportunity that will support Tribal health programs that address Alzheimer’s Disease and related dementias. Applicants must partner with another Tribal or Indian Health Service program (e.g. diabetes program, mental health program, etc.) that also serves this population. NIHB anticipates funding up to 12 high-quality proposals from Tribes or Tribal Health Organizations for up to $15,000 each. Applicants must also choose one or more Road Map for Indian Country strategies to address using these funds. The application deadline is Tuesday, August 24th, 2021 at 11:59pm Pacific Time.

Eligibility

In order to be considered eligible for this funding opportunity, all of the following criteria must be met:

  • Applicants must be a federally recognized Tribal Government, Tribal organization, or inter-Tribal consortium as defined in the Indian Self-Determination and Education Assistance Act, as amended.
  • This opportunity is not intended for Urban Indian Health Organizations (UIHO) applicants, although a Tribe may partner with a UIHO to meet their objectives.
  • Applicants who may be currently in receipt of NIHB funds are welcome to apply for other NIHB funding opportunities.
