Please join the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) for a Partner Update Call on COVID-19 vaccines. As of August 28, 2021, the Indian Health Service (IHS) 7-day rolling average of new COVID-19 cases is 10.2%, nearly a 10% increase from 2 weeks ago. It is critical that unvaccinated and partially vaccinated people get their primary series of vaccines to further reduce the risk of COVID-19 and its more severe outcomes. There are a couple IHS areas (Albuquerque and Navajo) that report administering over 90% of their IHS-provided COVID-19 vaccines. The COVID-19 vaccine remains the most powerful tool available to protect our Tribal communities. Remember, getting your COVID-19 vaccine is an Act of Love to your Tribe! The National Indian Health Board (NIHB) stands committed to providing important COVID-19 resources to the Tribal communities we serve. Please visit NIHB’s COVID-19 Tribal Resource Center for more information on how you can help!
