Time: 4:00 PM – 5:00 PM Eastern Time
The National Indian Health Board (NIHB) invites you to join us for a FREE webinar series that will build on the Tribes and Tribal organization’s ability to address emerging and re-emerging infectious disease threats and share best practices for preventing and controlling infectious diseases.
As the pandemic began, Gallup Indian Medical Center health system leaders applied early planning and mitigation actions to collaborate with multiple organizations and individuals to convert four Gallup hotels into temporary shelters to quarantine the people who didn’t have another place to shelter on their own safely, those exposed to the coronavirus and were awaiting test results, and those recovering from COVID-19. During this webinar, participants will learn how mitigation planning to address overcapacity due to surges in patient volumes can improve health status, wellbeing, productivity, and quality of care.
Who should attend?
The intended audience for this webinar is physicians, nurses, pharmacists, health educators, other clinicians, and public health professionals interested in setting up a temporary quarantine and isolation housing to prevent the spread of COVID-19
