The National Indian Health Board (NIHB) is pleased to host the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) for an All Tribes call, Friday, April 10, at 3:00 pm eastern time.
This purpose of the call is to create a space for Tribal leaders and organizations from across Indian Country to engage in dialogue with federal officials about Tribal eligibility and access to lifesaving resources to respond to the COVID-19 pandemic. FEMA and HHS will jointly discuss the process for Tribes to request technical assistance as well as critical protective resources to aid their communities. The Indian Health Service (IHS) recently released Guidance to Accessing Medical Supplies and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) through the Strategic National Stockpile (SNS), which will provide the basis of the discussion. The IHS guidance and corresponding FEMA Fact Sheet can be found HERE.
NIHB seeks to facilitate maximum Tribal leader engagement as FEMA and HHS work together to continue to respond to the national emergency. For this reason, we encourage you to share this notice with interested Tribal contacts.
